Did You Know Sbu From Uzalo And MacGyver From Durban Gen Are brothers In Real Life?

Sbu From Uzalo And MacGyver From Durban Gen

In recent years we have seen so many siblings nailing it in the entertainment industry of late. At some point, we have been even shocked to learn that some of our favorite characters are even siblings. Honestly, who knew that Natasha Thahane was sister to SK and Khoza.

In the mix of things, we have also learned that Sbu from Uzalo and our Durban Gen favorite MacGyver are brothers in real life. As surprising as it is, we can now connect the dots. Majozi is a South African actor known as Last Number, a ruthless thug who doubled as Amos right-hand man on Uzalo. Currently, he is nailing it on etv’s medical drama series Durban Gen as MacGyver. The actor also doubles as a musician and a music director. In the entertainment circles, he is known as Zuluboy.

The actor has become one of Mzansi’s best, be it on or off-screen. Despite facing trolls addressing him as messy, the actor does not lead to dull his shine. He made all sorts of headlines when he starred alongside his brother on Uzalo. On Uzalo, he played the role of  Sboniso in SABC1’s Uzalo

He was born on 19 May 1976 in Ntuzuma, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Given that he doubles as a musician and actor, one can note that his acting and television career has been very successful.

The 45-year-old has presented several shows on SABC in recent years. He was the face of Fan Base for four seasons thus from 2012 to 2016. After his exit from Fan Base, he later bagged a gig on SABC 1 drama series InterSEXions. From there, he later starred on Gold Diggers. Years later, he found himself on Uzalo, then Durban Gen.

Of interest is the fact that the actor happens to be Uzalo’s Sbu brother. As interesting as it sounds to be, the musician-cum actor is the one who mentors Simphiwe Majozi.  He also doubles as a manager of the Lady Smith Black Mambazo group.

Simphiwe Majozi is a South African actor currently playing Sbu on Uzalo. He is always beguiling fans with his sweet and sour persona. He is the funny thug on-screen and is always cracking us up with his side-splitting “punch lines”.

Little is known about the celebrated off-screen life as he keeps it under wraps. The actor is only interested in letting people in on his TV character. When it comes to his life, he becomes secretive. Rumours have been played over social media that the vivacious actor is in a relationship with his on-screen girlfriend Fikile.

However, Sbu rubbished the rumours but revealing that he was in a relationship with Elundini local municipality DA Councillor. Kekeletso Mahlelebe and Sbu have been together for 13 years and aren’t these goals.

His character in Uzalo may portray a low-life who has a depressing future, but Simphiwe is an organised person in reality. Majozi’s first performance in theatre was in a musical play by Bheki Mkhwane. He also featured on Mike Mvelase (best known as Khapela on Generations)’s play, “Kwasuka Sukela”.

Apart from acting, the fast-rising actor is also a certified marketer. The actor follows his passion in the entertainment industry, and he has been gracing our TV screens ever since. Sbu is brother to Mxolisi Majozi, who mentors him and doubles as a Lady Smith Black Mambazo group manager.
